Tony Baker
Anthony W. Baker is a passionate and experienced history instructor. He currently teaches at the Ignite institute as a High School Social Teacher. He has taught at various courses at multiple institutions, including University of the Virgin Islands, Thomas More University, Gateway Community & Technical College, and Cincinnati State Technical and Community College. He has been recognized as the adjunct of the year two years in a row, and has published several articles in academic journals on topics such as Chinese imperialism, modern Chinese market expansion in Africa, and Japanese Buddhism.
Anthony is also a doctoral candidate at the University of Memphis, pursuing a Doctor of Liberal Studies degree with a focus on history and philosophy. His dissertation is exploring the philosophical contributions of Rennyo and Hakuin to the Japanese Buddhist canon. He has a master's degree in history from Indiana State University, and a bachelor's degree in history and Chinese studies from Northern Kentucky University. He has also earned multiple certifications and courses in various fields of study, such as Buddhist studies, Egyptology, and Japanese language.
